What We Do

Taiwan, a shining beacon of democracy in the East Asia region, is a country that struggles for self-determination. The scars from Taiwan’s turbulent history has not held her back from becoming one of Asia’s 4 Economic Tigers, from having a rich culture, or from excelling in healthcare, humanitarian causes, and much more.

However, these scars have caused Taiwan to not be recognized in the global community, to not have a membership in the United Nations, and to not have formal diplomatic relations with the United States.

Why is that?

Outreach for Taiwan is here to help educate and explain young proponents of Taiwan about how Taiwan ended up in the position that it is in now. With these facts, members of OFT will learn how to effectively properly advocate for Taiwan, and help fully heal Taiwan’s scars.
