Does Taiwan (or the world) Need Nuclear Energy or not?

As the protest on Taiwan's Fourth Nuclear Power Plant in Lungmen, New Taipei, continues on (starting from 2011), one of the biggest talks is whether or not Taiwan even needs nuclear energy. This is a topic debated by not just Taiwan, but all over the world. World known organization, TED, held such a debate in 2010. Remember, the topic of whether or not nuclear energy is needed in Taiwan is just one aspect of the construction of the Fourth Nuclear Power Plant.
